Finding a knowledgeable mentor is the number one thing that you should do prior to making a decision concerning your traditional or online business career. I put this simple site up to provide you with valuable information that you will need to make a sound decision concerning your business career and your life. With that said lets get right to it. Over the last ten years or so I had been approached by several individuals concerning MLM or Network Marketing. I never really investigated the industry until a friend called me about two years ago. He explained the concept of leveraging and it made so much sense to me. I reasoned with my years of business on the Internet this Network Marketing thing should be a no-brainer. Wow, was I wrong! The first task at hand was to get set-up with a major company and subscribe to all of their training. It was all very confusing to me because the MLM / Network Marketing company totally marketed differently from what I had practiced over the years. Well my up-line told me that I had to follow the company program so that I would be able to duplicate when sponsoring. I followed their plan for almost a year and failed miserably. I thought how did I have all the success with The Digital Sign Company, and now not be able to recruit prospects into my primary business. I did the home meetings, the three ways and the hotel meetings. I practiced the three foot rule, prospected strangers in malls and hit on all my friends and family. I was so frustrated I didn't know which way to turn. Then one night while I was browsing on the Internet I ran across Ann Sieg's "The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing". I immediately downloaded her eBook and the lights came on. I had bought into all of the hype and listened to an up-line that didn't know the first think about real marketing. I started the next day doing the exact opposite of what I had been told over the last year. And guess what, all the problems and frustration went away. Now I have success with Network Marketing and my pleasure and enjoyment has returned to my on-line business. So here I am ready to help you! What do I know that you need to know? It's an interesting question. One that might catch you off guard. Here's the answer; marketing, conventional and on-line. So you say prove it. Well here we go.

Bottom line is that I have learned what works and what doesn't when it comes to conventional and Internet marketing. I am a fifty five year old business owner and entrepreneur. I have started several different businesses in my life. Some were good ventures others were not. But the jest of the matter is that I have learned through the school of hard knocks what works and what doesn't. A little bit about my back ground. I live in Huntington Beach, CA. I moved here so that I could pursue and grow my major business interest and also to sail by sailboat. I am involved with the love of my life and business partner, Leticia. My son Michael is a United States Marine Corps Sergeant. He is the best son any one could ask for, and I am extremely proud of him. He has had duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is currently deployed. He is married and has a wonderful 8 month old boy, Aiden, my grandson. With the structuring and development of several traditional and home based business's, I have found the true definition of what a business should be. In it's simplicity, business is providing a product or service that makes someone's life easier or better. It really just boils down to that. If you have a business that helps people get what they want out of life, you have created a successful operation. In the economic slow down of 1998 I owned a general contracting company and thought that it might be a good time to diversify my business interests. Seeing that I was sitting on a spec home which I built with a huge mortgage and no buyers in sight. The economy was bad but not near like what we have now. But bad enough to make me look for options. I always had an interest in computers, but hardly knew anything about them. So I started a corporation first, The Digital Sign Company, Inc., and then second decided I might want to learn how to make that business profitable. I know this is backwards, but it is how it happened none the less. Since I had no computer skills I decided the best way to learn them would be to sell computer training during the day and take computer classes at night. That is exactly what I did. Working with New Horizons Computer Training my learning curve was fast and I took to the industry immediately. I was later recruited to go to work for Catapult Software Training, an IBM subsidiary.
